Bodywork + Healing

Touch is our most primal form of connection to other humans. It’s vital for our survival and most of us are not getting enough of it. I am passionate about the healing powers of touch and am always humbled by the healing that happens during bodywork sessions. Sometimes it can be subtle, and sometimes, great shifts happen, but I am confident of the relaxing, rejuvenating and purely primitive gravitational pull we all have towards touch as a modality for restoration.
I have been a bodyworker since 1997, when I walked into my first massage course; the youngest in the class and having never received a massage in my life. Something bigger than myself led me to be there and I’ve never looked back!

After two decades of working in this realm, I have gotten my hands on a LOT of bodies. I pride myself on being an expert in intuitive touch and healing. I have over 500 course hours and thousands of hands-on hours and have been trained in various modalities which include Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point and sports massage. I also specialize in pre and post-natal massages and love working on expectant and early post-partum mamas.

The majority of my massage career has been spent working alongside chiropractors in a clinical setting, so I describe my style as more “therapeutic” than “spa.” My sessions are customized to each of my client’s needs, and I work hard to make anyone who steps onto my table feel nurtured and taken care of. I am also trauma-informed, and have knowledge in offering a safe space for anyone who may be experiencing safe touch for the first time.

In addition to the hands-on healing modalities, I can also weave in somatic work, which goes a little deeper than musculature. Somatic work is more subtle and works to connect the body and the emotions that can be stored within the body. Somatic techniques can include deep breathing, relaxation exercises, talking and meditation to help relieve symptoms.

If you are feeling stuck in the body and mind, therapeutic massage can help release tension, relieve stress and create vitality and peace of mind.

I would be honored to help you heal.
