Hi! I’m Dori  - I’m so glad you’re here!

I like to call myself a bit of a wellness “Jill-of-all-Trades”. I keep busy cheffing wellness retreats, working on massage clients, offering online cooking classes, and educating people on how to transition to plant-based eating in a deliciously sustainable and fun way.

I absolutely love being of service and helping to make my clients feel empowered on their wellness journey. This is my passion and gives my life joy and purpose.

I have been in the health and wellness realm since 1997! I started my career as a massage therapist (fun fact: I had never even received a massage before going to school to become a therapist!) and my knowledge and passion for holistic health blossomed from there. I thought originally I would go to school to become a naturopathic doctor, but life had other plans for me.

As a life-long learner (and self proclaimed “certification junkie”), I wanted to keep absorbing new information that would help me be able to offer more to my clients.

My education went on to include:

  • Nutrition Education - Bauman College

  • Food Psychology Coaching - Spencer Institute

  • Plant-Based Chef - Rouxbe Cooking School

  • Yoga Teacher Training - Holistic Yoga Flow with Lauren Eckstrom & Travis Eliot (200 hrs) *trauma informed

  • Yoga Therapy - Loyola Marymount University

  • Yomassage *trauma informed

  • Somatic Psychotherapy - Antioch University

In 2008, I launched Healing Thru Food which started out as a blog. It was birthed from my love of healthy food, nutrition education and a longing to help support people on their own personal path to a balanced diet and lifestyle.

In 2020, I combined my passion for food and wellness with my vast knowledge in body therapy and launched Dori Lancaster: Empowered Wellness.

My goal is to inspire my clients to tap into their own innate wisdom and be their own healers. I will lovingly meet you where you most need support; be it in the realm of nourishment and food, self-care, movement, mindfulness techniques, hands-on bodywork …or any combination of these areas, since every person is unique in what they need.

It is of utmost importance to me that you feel seen, heard and held so you can step into your power and thrive!
